MIDO Tradeshow Booth (Case Study)

Client: Fakoshima

Product: Luxury Eyewear

Service: Trade show booth

Location: Milan, Italy

FAKOSHIMA is a notable eyewear brand based out of Moscow, Russia. Their products are inspired by cyber punk, computer games and Japanese animation and have very distinct silhouettes, fun colors, and are works of art all on their own.

I embraced the brand’s natural predilection for neon colors and an industrial-robotic aesthetic and pulled further inspiration from neo-conceptual artists such as Jenny Holzer and modernist Le Corbusier to create a cyber-punk dystopia for their MIDO Tradeshow Booth.

Floor Plan & Reflected Ceiling Plan

The floorplan was designed to consist of all loose furniture and fixtures. The concept of having no walls was important so that people could enter the booth from all sides.

The loose fixtures also lend themselves to a quick installation, as well as limitless flexibility so that the booth could morph into whatever space the next tradeshow offers.

Loose fixtures arranged organically on the ground allow fluid access through the booth, while ceiling-hung lights act as “billboards” to attract visitors from afar.
