MR Architecture was approached by a couple from Ohio that was looking to renovate their newly acquired 3-bedroom apartment in the famed “Jenga Tower” designed by Herzog & de Meuron. They saw New York City as a fun escape from their daily lives and wanted this apartment to be a springboard for all their city adventures.

The couple had an edgy, playful, and vibrant energy about them and they wanted their apartment to fully encompass their personalities.

As project manager of the architectural design, I worked closely with the clients to meet their lighting, audio/visual, and spacial requirements. I was responsible for all coordination from schematic to construction phases, including managing the building approvals, designing custom and complex millwork, drafting the construction set, bid leveling, attending weekly site visits during construction, and coordinating the furnishings with the lead interior designer.
